“Gorgeous find in Bedoin”

We had a magical visit staying at Maison La Lune. The home was spotless and oh so cosy. The home is bright, airy and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is one of the best we’ve had in a rental property. There is a lovely outdoor area with a table to enjoy any meal. We would sit out in the evening with a glass of wine and enjoy the changing sunlight on Ventoux. In the morning we would do the same with coffee.

“This gorgeous property is the perfect base….”

Our two weeks stay in la Maison de Lune have been wonderful. This gorgeous property is the perfect base for exploring this beautiful and amazing part of the world. The wildlife here is incredible – Red squirrels, Jays, Buzzards, Black Redstarts – to name but a few, not to mention the variety of insects! Our highlights included a trip to the summit of Mont Ventoux (not to be missed), the May local markets including Bedoin, Lourmarin & Carpentras. Thank you Sally & Peter for allowing us to stay in your wonderful holiday home and for providing advice and suggestions on places to visit. Many thanks to Chrystèle and Robert for their help and friendly chats. We do hope to return in the future as there is so much still to do and see.

“Lovely house with a touch of luxury”

In a beautiful, private, location, La Maison de Lune is a great base from which to explore the area. Bedoin is a 15 minute walk and, if cycling is your thing, you’ll be in heaven. The house has spacious rooms, air conditioning and a lovely pool. We would definitely go again.

“The house was so perfect…”

Thanks so much for such a wonderful stay. Sorry we didn’t get the chance to meet you. The house was so perfect, everything organised so thoughtfully. We really have felt so at home here. Everything here in the house and in the region reminds us so much of home in Western Australia – the sounds, the smells, the heat! Of course the vegetation and landscape is so much richer here and more diverse. We just loved being in the middle of the ‘bush’ at the foot of the hills. We really hope to return.

“…a wonderful stay at Maison De Lune"

We had a wonderful stay at Maison De Lune. The house is in a beautiful spot with views of Mont Ventoux and has been very tastefully decorated. The kitchen contains everything you would need for self-catering plus there is a barbecue. The walk to Bedoin is about 15 minutes and in more clement weather (it was 38 degrees when we were there!) would be a lovely stroll. The pool was the perfect temperature and size for our group. It’s a great area especially if you are into cycling and we had some lovely meals in Bedoin and St Esteve. I would definitely recommend staying here and we hope to return with a larger group and try The Flop House next door.

“This is our third visit in three years!”

We love the house, the beautiful countryside and the peace and tranquillity – it’s a perfect place to relax and enjoy Provençal life. The house is beautifully appointed and well equipped, whilst the garden offers a number of areas in which to relax. As the weather has been reliably wonderful on each of our visits, we’ve tended to ‘live’ outside, but the house inside is spacious and comfortable for dining or relaxing if needed. Bédoin is a short walk away and, for those who wish to cycle, there are some lovely local rides as well as Ventoux!

“…beautiful, inviting home - What a delight!”

The sights, the light, the sounds, the colours of this beautiful piece of creation are a balm to the soul and the centre of this garden of delight – well centre for us – is this beautiful, inviting home. What a delight! The vista from every angle is nothing less than glorious. It has been a treat to share this space and a treat as well to meet you. Thank you so very much indeed.

“La Maison de Lune did not disappoint…”

Thank you for a perfectly splendid visit to Provence. I have dreamed of coming here for decades, and Provence (and la Maison de Lune) did not disappoint. The house is so beautifully appointed and so perfectly placed in the Provence ‘vibe’. We will have to return to continue our explorations of Provence, it’s food and it’s wine.

“A wonderful escape…….”

We have so enjoyed our holiday in this charming house. The ensuite bedrooms and cool spacious living areas are very comfortable and the large flat screen TV has English channels. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a delightful outside dining area for the evenings. We loved relaxing by the pool and there are good views from the garden of Mont Ventoux. The local area has many vineyards and interesting villages to explore and the owners have also provided an extensive list of local restaurants to enjoy. A wonderful escape.

“…our second stay at La Lune and just as fantastic…”

2017, our second stay at La Lune and just as fantastic as 2016, our first stay! We have already booked for 2018! La Lune is a beautiful house, clean, well-equipped and spacious. It is in a rural setting with fantastic views and a salt water swimming pool, which is well maintained. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, Sally and Peter. This time we brought our grown up family to stay for a few days and they loved it also! We hired bikes and cycled to Blauvac and half way (!) up Mont Ventoux. We also shopped in Vaison and Avignon but for antiques we headed for Isle sur la Sorgue and Sault. We also had a fabulous lunch by the river in the Fontaines de Vaucluse. Bedoin is as charming as ever and we had a great family meal at Le Grillon on a Friday evening under the plane trees. The Monday morning market, a short walk from the house, has everything from clothing to food to kitchenware to trinkets and much more. A must for cyclists (serious and fun), wine-lovers, food lovers, sun lovers and francophiles.

“…photographs of La Maison de Lune don’t really do it justice”

The online photographs of La Maison de Lune don’t really do it justice. The building retains the character of the old beamed and stone-stepped outbuildings from which it was created, and the interiors are elegant, cool and packed with good taste. The owners have forgotten no detail, from the outside lighting to the great sun loungers to the well-equipped kitchen to the laundry room. The bedrooms/bathrooms are all luxurious and (helpfully I think for parties of guests) of similar size and smartness, with no. 3 up a separate stone exterior staircase with its own little balcony. A great feature is the short and pleasant walk to Bedoin past vineyards and woodland, avoiding the main road. We walked back and forth all the time and it’s so much more eco! We had a lovely time playing boules and sitting about on all the various chairs in sun or under the vine. We didn’t want to come home at all.

“…our ‘best yet’ Provence stay…”

We had a lovely time in our ‘best yet’ Provence stay. La Maison de Lune is elegant, comfortable, very well equipped, peaceful and ideally situated. Many thanks.

“The house is just perfect…”

The summer of 2017 was a special one in that I had just turned 70 and wanted to celebrate and recognise the event by sharing a holiday with my brother and sister in law who live in Canada. They have visited Provence a number of times and when the opportunity to stay in La Lune arose we jumped at it, spending two glorious weeks there in July The house is just perfect, brilliantly appointed with three beautiful double bedrooms each with its own en suite bathroom and glorious views across the Bedoin countryside and the beautifully private garden filled with lavender, oleander, olives and geraniums. The kitchen is marvellously well equipped and the outside terrace was perfect for cool breakfasts under the shade of the awning over which vines are beginning to grow or for evening suppers with a few glasses of one of the local delicate rose wines. It does not take long to feel as if the house is your own perfect hideaway, just far enough out of the lovely local town of Bedoin to be private but a pleasant walk, via the back road, or a short drive to the lovely local restaurants and shops. The market days are all within easy reach in other local villages and are a wonderful way to discover and enjoy the fabulous local foods and the boulangeries are incredible! La Lune is also a brilliant location for longer excursions to the beautiful lavender fields of Sault to the east or the Abbaye de Senaque to the south in this beautiful rural area as well as exciting drives, or cycle rides for the more energetic, through the surrounding gorges of this lovely area. Alternatively la Lune is such a lovely place all we wanted to do was go to an early morning market for fresh produce and then enjoy a day reading under the olive and apricot trees by the beautiful salt water pool on one of the plentiful poolside loungers! If we needed any help the lovely Crystalle, for household and shopping queries or Robert, looking after the gardening, were discretely on hand to offer it and all the bed linen was changed in the middle of our stay which felt very special! Thank you so much to Sally and Peter for providing such a wonderful retreat to unwind and enjoy this beautiful region of La Belle France!
