…our ‘best yet’ Provence stay…
We had a lovely time in our ‘best yet’ Provence stay. La Maison de Lune is elegant, comfortable, very well equipped, peaceful and ideally situated. Many thanks.

This gorgeous property is the perfect base….
Our two weeks stay in la Maison de Lune have been wonderful. This gorgeous property is the perfect base for exploring this beautiful and amazing part of the world. The wildlife here is incredible – Red squirrels, Jays, Buzzards, Black Redstarts – to name but a few, not to mention the variety of insects!
Our highlights included a trip to the summit of Mont Ventoux (not to be missed), the May local markets including Bedoin, Lourmarin & Carpentras.
Thank you Sally & Peter for allowing us to stay in your wonderful holiday home and for providing advice and suggestions on places to visit. Many thanks to Chrystèle and Robert for their help and friendly chats. We do hope to return in the future as there is so much still to do and see.

The house is just perfect…
The summer of 2017 was a special one in that I had just turned 70 and wanted to celebrate and recognise the event by sharing a holiday with my brother and sister in law who live in Canada. They have visited Provence a number of times and when the opportunity to stay in La Lune arose we jumped at it, spending two glorious weeks their in July
The house is just perfect, brilliantly appointed with three beautiful double bedrooms each with it’s own en suite bathroom and glorious views across the Bedoin countryside and the beautifully private garden filled with lavender, oleander, olives and geraniums.
The kitchen is marvellously well equipped and the outside terrace was perfect for cool breakfasts under the shade of the awning over which vines are beginning to grow or for evening suppers with a few glasses of one of the local delicate rose wines.
It does not take long to feel as if the house is your own perfect hideaway, just far enough out of the lovely local town of Bedoin to be private but a pleasant walk, via the back road, or a short drive to the lovely local restaurants and shops. The market days are all within easy reach in other local villages and are a wonderful way to discover and enjoy the fabulous local foods and the boulangeries are incredible!
La Lune is also a brilliant location for longer excursions to the beautiful lavender fields of Sault to the east or the Abbaye de Senaque to the south in this beautiful rural area as well as exciting drives, or cycle rides for the more energetic, through the surrounding gorges of this lovely area.Alternatively la Lune is such a lovely place all we wanted to do was go to an early morning market for fresh produce and then enjoy a day reading under the olive and apricot trees by the beautiful salt water pool on one of the plentiful poolside loungers!
If we needed any help the lovely Crystalle, for household and shopping queries or Robert, looking after the gardening, were discretely on hand to offer it and all the bed linen was changed in the middle of our stay which felt very special!
Thank you so much to Sally and Peter for providing such wonderful retreat to unwind and enjoy this beautiful region of La Belle France!

…our second stay at La Lune and just as fantastic…
2017, our second stay at La Lune and just as fantastic as 2016, our first stay! We have already booked for 2018!
La Lune is a beautiful house, clean, well-equipped and spacious. It is in a rural setting with fantastic views and a salt water swimming pool, which is well maintained. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, Sally and Peter.
This time we brought our grown up family to stay for a few days and they loved it also! We hired bikes and cycled to Blauvac and half way (!) up Mont Ventoux. We also shopped in Vaison and Avignon but for antiques we headed for Isle sur la Sorgue and Sault. We also had a fabulous lunch by the river in the Fontaines de Vaucluse.
Bedoin is as charming as ever and we had a great family meal at Le Grillon on a Friday evening under the plane trees. The Monday morning market, a short walk from the house, has everything from clothing to food to kitchenware to trinkets and much more.
A must for, cyclists (serious and fun), wine-lovers, food lovers, sun lovers and francophiles.

Lovely house with a touch of luxury
In a beautiful, private, location, La Maison de Lune is a great base from which to explore the area. Bedoin is a 15 minute walk and, if cycling is your thing, you’ll be in heaven. The house has spacious rooms, air conditioning and a lovely pool. We would definitely go again.

Gorgeous find in Bedoin
We had a magical visit staying at Maison La Lune. The home was spotless and oh so cozy. The home is bright, airy and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is one of the best we’ve had in a rental property. There is a lovely outdoor area with a table to enjoy any meal. We would sit out in the evening with a glass of wine and enjoy the changing sunlight on Ventoux. In the morning we would do the same with coffee.
